Experience
I am currently pursuing my undergraduate degree in biomedical engineering from Arizona State University. In my personal academic experience, I have frequently found myself leaning on the help of my tutors more than my teachers. I find it is easier to work in a one-on-one setting where I can ask the questions I have before moving forward. This was the inspiration for my interest in tutoring others. I want to help those who are struggling with mathematical subjects find their footing and make academic gains. I currently tutor algebra 1 & 2, geometry, elementary math, trigonometry, chemistry, algebra 3/4, math, science, English, pre-calculus, and college algebra. I also help students who are preparing to take the ACT. My tutoring style is logical but fun. Even though students may have different learning styles, they all benefit from having the subject matter broken down into more easily accessible pieces. We move sequentially through the steps, taking as long as necessary for the individual concepts to become firmly understood by the student before moving on. Working with students individually, gives tutors and advantage that classroom teachers simply can't provide. Undivided attention and focus on exactly what the individual student needs in the moment.
