Teaching is my passion, and I am looking forward to working with students on science and math topics. I believe that the best way to teach is to simplify difficult topics down to the very basics so complex problems become easier to understand and solve. I enjoy working with students who are willing to learn the fundamentals of math and science. My ultimate goal when teaching is to find a way to relate the more daunting equations and topics to real-life applications. This makes them more understandable and exciting for students to learn.I graduated from the University of Utah in Salt Lake City with a bachelor's degree, master's degree, and Ph.D. in mechanical engineering. For the past 20 years, I have worked in the aerospace and aviation industry as a mechanical engineer. Among my interests are materials engineering, fracture mechanics, and structural analysis.I have worked with students from elementary to high school with math and science. I also taught mechanical engineering classes to 1st and 2nd year college students while I was a graduate student, including metrology, statistics, and strength of materials.In my free time, I enjoy hiking, reading, and spending time with my family.
