I am a tutor with extensive experience studying and teaching math. I am currently majoring in mathematics at the University of Arizona. I have experience as a teaching assistant for a calculus 2 course at my college. I am comfortable tutoring students in a variety of math related subjects, including algebra, calculus, pre-calculus, trigonometry, arithmetic, and geometry. In addition to tutoring students in math related courses, I am also able to tutor students in reading, writing, literature, grammar and mechanics, and English. Additionally, I am able to help students write essays, develop effective study skills, and manage their time. I am also able to help students prepare for standardized tests. Overall, I am a very well-rounded individual when it comes to academics. As a result, I enjoy helping students prepare for the SAT because this allows me to utilize my ability to teach a variety of different subjects. I believe that every student has the ability to succeed in academics. However, sometimes it requires adjusting the way the student studies, modifying my teaching style, or finding something to help motivate the student. My goal as a tutor is to do everything possible to get through to my students and help them reach their full potential. In my free time, I like to play racquetball, play basketball, hike, read, and fly. My goal after I graduate is to join the Air Force.
