Experience
I have extensive experience in both teaching and tutoring. I have taught junior high school and high school math for six years, and really enjoy helping students to build confidence and move toward greater levels of success. I love math, and like to share that love with my students, who don't always find math enjoyable at the outset. I have an excellent ability to explain a concept in different ways, finding the approach that is most accessible for each individual student. In addition to math ranging from elementary school arithmetic through algebra and geometry, I also offer tutoring for the SAT. In standardized test preparation sessions, I offer both substantive tutoring and test-taking strategies. When I'm not working with students, I like to work puzzles, play board games, go to movies, and swim.
