NES Certified to teach middle school mathematics I've always dreamed of becoming a teacher, but many of the courses I have taken at ASU have not provided me with the teaching experiences I was hoping for. I am finally in the iTeachAZ program and participated in my first internship last semester. It was wonderful! I was able to begin teaching more, but I also provided a lot of one-on-one work with some students who were struggling. Seeing the light bulb turn on for them was one of the best feelings I have ever had. I believe that in being a tutor, I can provide that feeling to many other students, but I will also be able to gain knowledge of various teaching strategies since all students learn differently.

Hobbies
I am originally from Wisconsin (Go Pack Go!), but I have been living in Arizona for 3.5 years and I love it! The weather brought me down, but the environment and community has led me to stay. I enjoy spending my time with my close friends, going on adventures, traveling, or going to concerts. Being active is a huge part of who I am; I belong to a gym that I love but I also like to hike and try new things. Most of the time you can find me at home, reading a book or finishing homework. I am very hardworking and responsible and get along with everyone. :)
