I am a microbiologist and chemist. I attended ASU with distinction, majoring in microbiology and minoring in chemistry. During the majority of my advanced educational career, I worked in different labs using advanced techniques to view microscopic organisms such as bacteria, fungi, and viruses. I received an award for Teaching Excellence while I was pursuing my undergraduate degree and working as a teaching assistant for a microbiology laboratory. Since I graduated, I've had a couple of chemistry-related jobs that differ from one another. I have gained a variety of skills from these positions, which involved testing water and foods for a wide-spectrum of microbial agents and chemical compounds that are harmful to society. With my vast experience gained from academics, research, and my current career as a microbiologist and chemist, tying in relatable issues and providing skills to problem-solve is what I aim to pass on. With my background in science and math, I am a tutor who is enthused to share the knowledge and skills to ensure my students' success. I am also available to tutor other subjects. Outside of working, I like to cook, oil paint, and run. I currently reside in Chandler, Arizona.
