I started tutoring as a college student. I found it very enjoyable to help students reach the moment where the concept clicks in their minds because they understand it. I spent two years teaching math at the high school level, but I missed the one-on-one approach of tutoring. Math can be difficult for many students, and Common Core standards can make it even more difficult. When I work with students, I explain concepts by breaking them down into smaller segments that are easier to understand. I am looking forward to tutoring subjects like algebra, geometry, trigonometry, statistics, pre-calculus, pre-algebra, elementary math, finite math, discrete math, middle school math, test preparation, and more. In my free time, I enjoy playing board games, watching basketball, riding my bike, and hiking.
